Reflection ((Journal))

In Journal 2 (Critical response to Amy Tan’s “Mother Tongue”), I learned many things about the English language while I was writing. I discovered that there are many ways to learn English and I do not have to be a native speaker to take English as major in college. International students may not be perfect in speaking English, yet they are usually much better in grammar than native speakers.

  1. Hi Nouh,

How are you doing? I hope you have just started another great semester at Penn State.
By the way, I still remembered the class period that we read Amy Tan's article and discuss the article a lot. It seemed that many people were interested in the topic. I think you were also one of them, right? After taking this writing course, do you feel you have become a critical reader/writer? I think you should always try to be critical when you read/write academic papers. Also, I hope you are proud of yourself as a non-native English writer even though we are not always perfect writers. We are already power English writers. Keep writing and become more better writers!
